I have been involved in organising and facilitating art workshops throughout the Central West and Sydney since 2001.

If you or your organisation would like an Aboriginal or contemporary art workshop, then please contact me.

A rundown of workshops I have conducted are as follows.

    2006

  • In 2006 I was appointed Artistic Director for the CreateAbility Project with funding from Regional Arts NSW and Arts OutWest.

CreateAbility was a series of art workshops with disabled and disadvantaged adults in the Central West with the aim of creating a body of work to be exhibited at the Awakenings Festival in Horsham in late 2006. The Awakenings Festival is an annual event in Horsham, Victoria, to showcase the artistic and creative talents of people with a disability.

The workshops were conducted at Blayney Day Care, Blayney; Cootes Access Cen-tre in Orange; Cowra Special Needs, Cowra; Weigelli Rehabilitation Centre, Woodstock and the Central West Aquired Brain Injury Group, Canowindra.

Ken Hutchinson, Sculptor, from Wattamondara and Caroline Briggs, Artist, from Canowindra facilitated the Cowra and Canowindra workshops while I facilitated the Orange, Blayney and Weigelli workshops. Ken also worked with the Weigelli residents teaching sculpture.

The workshops were conducted between April and November, 2006 and were a great success both in showcasing the work of disabled people in the Central West of NSW and in the confidence gained by the participants of the workshops.
